Hauptvortrag im Rahmen der diesjährigen Davide Zordan Lecture: Irony and Revelation. Theology in interesting times
The Davide Zordan Lecture is annually held in Autumn. It was established to honor the memory of a researcher of the Center for Religious Studies of FBK, who died in 2015.
In her talk, Isabella Guanzini will investigate the classic theological topic of revelation by showing its biblical paradoxes, treading into anomalous places, and breaking away from the commonplaces of religion. Beyond classic dichotomies such as sacred and profane, belief and wisdom, transcendence and immanence, the question of the irony of revelation, of its surprising, critical and unexpected effects, will be positioned at the center of her discourse, creating a constellation between some emblematic scenes of the biblical text and the complexity of the present context.
